As per Bed Curriculum we have to make two concept map...

A concept map or conceptual diagram is a diagram that depicts suggested relationships between concepts. Concept maps may be used by instructional designers, engineers, technical writers, and others to organize and structure knowledge.

The use of concepts is necessary to cognitive processes such as categorization, memory, decision making, learning, and inference. Concepts are thought to be stored in long term cortical memory, in contrast to episodic memory of the particular objects and events which they abstract, which are stored in hippocampus.

Our last week of teaching practice

In the day july 4 morning we have a send off session organised by school staff council. Head teacher Sr. Aquina and other teachers appreciated our works in the school and gave us a warm send-off. We shared our experiences in the session. It was a great , memorable session.

The second teaching practice gave me a lot of memorable moments, experiences and lessons. The journey was very interesting and memorable. The love of young ones was a great inspiration for me... The support of teachers in the school was immense and appreciated. 🥰🥰

The day started with parade conducted by sports club.

There are somany items are there

I got the duty in running area and I supported Sr. Amulya in performing duty

I supported students. The games were ended on 3.30 pm

Today I conducted diagnostic test on chemical bonding.

I conducted the exam with out any time limit

Students attended the test and evaluated the answer sheet and I marked their scores

Through the test I confirmed that there are some areas like structure of compound and electronegativity difference are the difficult area for students

For the emergent task we have selected some interesting experiment and decided to conduct it on class 6 students.

On july 24 I conducted achievement test on 9A class on chemical bonding in chemistry.

It was conducted for 1 hr section.

I corrected the answersheet and tabulated the scores. Inorder to identify problem area, I selected the areas that marked very low.

I found electronegativity difference and structure of ionic and covalent bonding as very difficult topic for students.

On july 19 we have no regular class as per time table, beacause there is mid term examination for students conducted by school authority, inorder ti evaluate the students performance in academic level.

After the unit test I used to manage the class

In second day after the unit test I got free period in 9 A where I taught on project topic

I discussed somany interesting apps related to periodic table.

For generations of chemistry students, the Periodic Table of the Elements has been a must-have tool for solving science homework problems and completing classroom tests.

On july 11 we got two periods in IX A where O discussed on ionic bonding and covalent bonding.

And I have collected the works of science magazine on structure of atom.

On july12  I have prepared the science magazine and spiral binded the work and donated to class library.

On july 13  I discussed on project topic in 9 A there I introduced somoany apps there.

On july 14 I had discipline duty at auditorium.

On this day I displayed some still models on ionic bonding and covalent bonding...

There are many types of chemical bonds and forces that bind molecules together. The two most basic types of bonds are characterized as either ionic or covalent. In ionic bonding, atoms transfer electrons to each other. Ionic bonds require at least one electron donor and one electron acceptor. In contrast, atoms with the same electronegativity share electrons in covalent bonds, because neither atom preferentially attracts or repels the shared electrons.

The still model helps them to attain the complete knowledge regarding the topic and helps them to compare the difference between ionic bond and covalent bonding..

 July5 - 10

On july 5 I started my work of project on

Effectiveness of periodic table apps in learing chemistry among secondary school students.

For that I selected 9A class for my project.

In first class I introduced the list of apps related to periodic table and I made an introduction to the chaper periodic table.

The next day I had introduced a new chapter in 8 B ie motion. For that I introduced different types of motion and I displayed a working model containing different types of motion to the students.

On July 10 I decided to make a hand written magazine on structure of atom in 9A.

I selected topics to each students and ask them to write it tomorrow roughly.

 July 1 - 4

On july 1 I had completed the first chapter in class 9A, ie structure of atom.

I revised the whole lesson and inorder to identity the students level of understanding I selected an innovative puzzle model in class.

It contains a quiz board inorder to check the knowledge on scientists and their inventions and puzzle to identity the knowledge on electronic configuration and fly wheel to check the knowledge in sub atomic particles.

The next day I had food distribution duty.

We had collected the works on periodic table and made it as final.

We spiral binded the periodic table book witj an attractive cover page and donated to school science library. There students should easily get a chance to refer those elements.

 June 27- 30

On june 27 I had class in 9B there i discussed on viscosity and surface tension by using activity and ICT method..

I got an free period engagement on those days in 5B there I discussed on junk food and its bad effects.

The work of periodic table book is still continuing. Some students gave the fair copy of their assigned elements and some need corrections

We have arrengened the elements according to the increasing order of atomic number.

On june 30 there was a programme on schoool conducted by Gandhidharsan club.

We got the discipline duty there.

 June 22- 26

On june 22 i had class in 9 A there I presented bohr model of atom.

Through models the students got the concept very fastly. I could clarifies their doubts very systhematically.

In the same day we collected the rough draft on periodic table book and clarified the students doubt on writing the content. Ask them to write it fairly.

The next day we collected some works done by the students. Today I had class in 9 B where I discussed on Pascal's law and its application. I displaced a model on hydraulic jack and explained its working.

June 26 I had the food serving duty it was really interesting. I really enjoyed the section very much.

Innovative Model🥰🥰

Today I selected some topics in structure of atom and I made an innovative model to measure the knowledge level of students.

Students participated the section very easily and students get a good content knowledge on the topic....

There are 3 activities

1. Innovative chart

It is used to measure the content knowledge on the topic electronic configuration of elements

2. Quiz board

It is used to help the students to measure the knowledge on scientist and their inventions

3. Fly wheel

It is used to measure their knowledge on subatomic particles

Some students participated the section so nicely and corrected all the activities some marked wrongly.....

I had class in IX B, there I discussed on Archimedes principle and laws of floatation.

Today we physical science student teachers of ST  Goretti's decided to make a periodic table book by the help of selected  students of that school.

The next day we discussed our ideas with our assigned teachers and school authority.

We selected some students in doing activity  in class VIII and we distributed the list of certains elements they want to write anf ask them to bring back on next day.

The next day the idea of periodic table book was presented on class9 students. We distributed a list to the students.

And showed a model to students and ask them to write a rough draft of the work.

Today was a fantastic day.

My assigned period was on VIII B. There was just introduced the concept of length as fundamental quantity.

Today I took concept attainment model in class VIII. The students got the concept on pure substance and mixture very fastly.

Day 1  June 14

As part of our BEd curriculum the new phase ie School intership has started today.

I have got St Goretti's H S for my intership program. We 15 students reached the school with lots of hope and ambitions. ❤️❤️

we arrived at the school premises promptly at 8:45 am, filled with anticipation and excitement. Little did I know that this day would mark the beginning of an incredible journey as an intern at this esteemed institution.

The first day we had visited our principal of school who gave a lots of instruction regarding the school rules and regulations.

Our college union Nisarga conducted Art fest from today. The literary competition was over. And stage programs started today.

All the members actively participated the section.

Sree Murukan Kattakada inagurated yhe occasions. The programme will conducted within 3 days. March 9 to 11.
